Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers - Online Blended


The BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages, including providing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device with oxygen, and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. Intended for licensed and non-licensed healthcare professionals.  The course completion card for the online course is identical to the card for the classroom course.

There are THREE parts to the BLS Blended Online course:

  1. Part 1 at your home or office: Online simulation and written test completion (0.5 to 2 hours)
  2. Part 2 and 3 at one of our regularly scheduled classes: Manikin practice and skills testing (less than 1-hr)

Note: This registration is all inclusive (Parts 1, 2 and 3).  You do not need to register for the "Skills Only" course.

Additional Info:

  • This is an American Heart Association course
  • You will receive your secure, digital eCard from the American Heart Association within 24 hours of your class
  • Your CPR card will be identical to the classroom-based CPR card
  • Please enter your name exactly as you would like it to appear on your certification card

ASHI CPR AED and Basic First Aid - Online Blended

Is this course for me? Please note that if you are a healthcare provider or healthcare student who requires CPR certification then this course will not fulfill your requirements. The most common CPR course for healthcare providers is Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider.

The First Aid CPR and AED course is for non-medical individuals and teaches basic CPR skills for Adults, Children, and Infants in addition to basic first aid treatment for common medical and injury emergencies. This course is for anyone who needs a course completion card in First Aid CPR and AED-use to meet job, regulatory (OSHA) or other requirements.

There are THREE parts to the CPR and AED Blended Online course:

  1. Part 1 at your home or office: Online simulation completion (2.5 to 3 hours)
  2. Part 2 and 3 at one of our regularly scheduled classes: Manikin practice (part 2) and skills testing (part 3) (less than 1-hr)

    Note: This registration is all inclusive (Parts 1, 2 and 3).  You do not need to also register for the "Skills Only" course.

  • You will receive an invitation to begin the online portion by email within 1 to 2 hours of registration
  • Once you receive your online course invitation, only a partial refund can be provided if needed

Add or Renew Instructor Certification

CarePoint is honored to serve as your official American Heart Association Training Site and American Safety and Health Institute Training Center.

Once you complete your order request for adding or renewing your Instructor status, we will promptly review your course records and process the change.  You will receive your new Instructor card electronically via email.  

If you still need to be monitored teaching a course per AHA policy, please let us know on the registration form.
